Theme: Innovative Therapeutic Strategies in Vaccines & Vaccination
Track 1: Vaccine development:
Vaccine research is long, complex and costly. Because a vaccine is a biological product made from living microorganisms, its development method is quite different from that of a pharmaceutical method. Approximately 70% of production time is dedicated to quality control, Vaccine development is a long, complex process, often lasting 10-15 years and involving a combination of public and private involvement. Vaccine development and testing follow a standard set of steps.
1. Laboratory Studies and Animal Studies: Exploratory Stage, Pre-clinical Stage, IND Application
2. Clinical Studies with Human Subjects: Phase I Vaccine Trials, Phase II Vaccine Trials, Phase III Vaccine Trials,
3. Approval and Licensure
4. Post-Licensure Monitoring of Vaccines
5. Phase IV Trials
VAERS: The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System
Track 2: Vaccine Business:
The Evolution in the Vaccines market continues with strong growth and new prospects to continue the growth in Vaccines market, which now stands at about $25 billion.
